This licence allows installation only on University computers. And none of the software I’m interested in watermarks or in anyway tags what you output as coming from student software. The Institutional licence is available only for use only by accredited Educational Institutions. My copy of photoshop is 5 years and 3 versions old and I still don’t feel any particular need to update it.
Autodesk offers 150+ free products to teachers and students including: SketchBook, Tinkercad. I’m not overtly concerned about upgrading anytime soon. The download version of Aurora 3D Text & Logo Maker is 20.
Thanks at for confirmation that there are no academic license police ) If I install my perpetual licenses to the student version I have, will I need to remake the files or when I reopen them in Maya 2016 (With perpetual license. Thanks for all the information, it was just what I needed and I think I’ve decided to go ahead with getting the student license and just skipping the registration (which is optional and the only time adobe gathers personal information according to resources).
